New formula, same great product
Recommended dose now includes adolescents between 12-18 years old as well as adults
Increased Iron input: 9 mg to 10 mg
Added 1 mg of iron while maintaining the gentle nature of the formula.
Reduced B12 Input: 500 mcg to 50 mcg
Not everyone with an iron deficiency has a concurrent vitamin B12 deficiency, as such, we reduced the amount of B12 to a maintenance dose of 50 mg. Since our formula is suspended in Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil the absorption of B12 is optimized even at a lower dose.
When vitamin B12 is suspended in a healthy oil, it does not require the addition of the intrinsic factor to be recognized and absorbed via the vitamin B12 receptor. Therefore, regardless of the health of the stomach and its ability to synthesize the intrinsic factor, vitamin B12 suspended in extra virgin olive oil is rapidly absorbed with enhanced bioavailability.
Reduced Folic acid input: 400 mcg to 100 mcg
Due to the increased use of folate (folic acid) in fortified food, we reduced the folic acid from 400 mcg to 100 mcg. This ensures that the combination of Easylron Extra Gentle combined with your daily diet of folate-rich foods maintains your folic acid intake within the upper daily tolerable limit of 1000 mcg of folic acid per day.
Reduced Copper input: 450 mcg to 100 mcg
We reduced the amount of copper in Easyron Extra Gentle from 450 mcg to 100 mcg because studies have shown we obtain sufficient copper from our diets. When we have a mild iron deficiency, sometimes the body needs a boost to encourage it to correct the mild deficiency. Copper can be that boost. Studies suggest that a little bit of supplemental copper to support our dietary intake makes it is easier for our body to bring our red blood cell counts back up to a healthy level.
Non-constipating
Many people suffer from constipation when they take Iron supplements because Iron that’s not absorbed remains in the colon. EasyIron is absorbed easily and therefore much less likely to cause constipation.
The iron that’s gentle and fast-actingIron deficiency can reduce red blood cell formation, and lead to anemia, leaving you feeling dizzy, weak and fatigued. Iron deficiency is common in women, especially in pregnant and nursing mothers. Iron deficiency affects 20% to 25% of the world population and is the most common type of anemia. In Canada, the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia among female youth and adults (12 to 49 years old) is estimated at 10%.

Iron alone may not be enough. You need all the supporting ingredients to make healthy red blood cells. That’s why EasyIron includes essential co-factors such as Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 to help your body make healthy red blood cells. Vitamin B12 is crucial for producing cellular energy, and DNA, protein and lipid synthesis to support cell formation, including red blood cells. It is an essential vitamin for maintaining general health, including the nervous and cardiovascular systems.
